Degree-days: Lygus Bug in Strawberries
Use this program to run a model of
lygus bug in strawberries, recommended by UC Cooperative Extension.
In calculating degree-days, the program uses temperatures from the
UC IPM weather database, a file you supply,
or data you enter online.
Lygus Bug in Strawberries
- Lower threshold: 54°F
- Calculation/upper cutoff method: single sine/horizontal
- Biofix: The first treatment biofix is the date you find the first adult lygus bug in the field after April. The biofix for the second treatment is the date you find the first instar nymph in strawberries in March.
