How to Manage Pests

The UC Guide to Healthy Lawns

Closely mow the turf and rake up debris

Mow the lawn at a very low setting, so that the blade is cutting just above the soil line. Closely mow the turf area and remove clippings with a rake. Mowing closely helps to create a loosened surface for seeding or stolonizing.

Next step to overseeding your lawn

Dethatch and aerate
