How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Tumbling flower beetle— Mordella sp.

Tumbling flower beetles attack buckwheat. Adult flower beetles are dark and tiny, about 1/6 inch long. They are narrow with a tapered abdomen. Adults become very active when disturbed.

Damage

Tumbling flower beetles feed mostly on pollen but also chew flowers. Damage is usually minor.

Solutions

Management is not required.
