How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Needle blight—Various fungi

Needles and new shoots that are affected by needle blight have a characteristic pink or tan color during the spring. There may be some twig dieback. The fungi that cause needle blight are thought to be associated with environmental stress.

Solutions

Provide proper cultural care to keep trees healthy and vigorous.
