How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Natural enemies

Predaceous mites and insects are important in regulating citrus red mite populations. The most effective natural enemy is the predatory mite, Euseius tularensis. Other predators of the citrus red mite include brown lacewings; a small, black lady beetle, Stethorus picipes; a predaceous dustywing, Conwentzia barretti; and the sixspotted thrips, Scolothrips sexmaculatus.
