Windburn
If a strong, dry wind persists during the growth period of the foliage, the leaves in the most exposed
areas develop small, dark lesions between the veins, twisting and folding the growing leaf. Many of these
leaves drop.

Solutions
Although windburn may appear severe, it does not seem to affect the crop. Maintain a good fertilization
and irrigation program to avoid deficiencies. Stress problems such as these may contribute to windburn
symptoms. |
