Myclobutanil

Type:
Sterol inhibiting (triazole) fungicide, locally systemic. Protectant but also some eradicant activity.

Plant uses:
Ornamentals and fruit trees

Pests controlled:
Brown rot, powdery mildew, apple scab

Low to moderateHazards to people

Eye irritant, low accute toxicity to people.

Low to moderateHazards to wildlife

Low to moderate to fish and high toxicity to aquatic invertebrates.

Hazards to beneficials

No data.

Potential period of activity after treatment:
Must be reapplied at 7-10 day intervals as long as disease conducive conditions are prevalent.

Precautions and safety equipment:
Minimize your exposure to pesticides. Wear goggles or safety glasses, rubber gloves and shoes and clothing to cover arms and legs.

Active ingredient:
Myclobutanil

Application tips:
For fruit tree diseases, apply at green tip or red bud and repeat application at 7 to 10 day intervals as long as rainy weather continues. Has some eradicant activity so may reduce infections somewhat even after symptoms are seen.

Always check the label before purchasing or applying a pesticide product for a specific pest on a specific plant to be sure it can be applied. Follow label directions precisely.
